Meet Morgan—Your New Strength and Conditioning Coach

Hey, I’m Morgan Larson and I’m the new Strength and Conditioning Coach at Stevens Point Orthopedics (SPO). I work closely with the Wisconsin Performance Institute (WPI) team, assist them with motion analyses, and strength-train clients. Whatever clients need to improve at their chosen sport or endeavor – I’m ready to help.

I obtained my undergraduate degree from UW-Stout and graduate degree from UW-River Falls. I’m also certified as an ACE Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist. I especially enjoy working with clients on injury prevention and rehabilitation for athletes.

What lead you to this profession?

I was a multi-sport athlete in high school and have loved watching my younger siblings grow and improve in their sports over the years as well. I started writing them programs and fell in love with sport-specific strength and conditioning training. The detail-orientation required to get these athletes to their full potential, while simultaneously working to prevent injury, became a passion of mine and led me to my current position with SPO.

What is your favorite thing about working at SPO/WPI?

My coworkers. They immediately made me feel like part of the team and care about helping me grow in my profession.

What is your greatest accomplishment at work?

My greatest accomplishments in my work has been being able to educate and build clients’ confidence in their own strength and abilities.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

When I’m not at work I am likely outside relaxing, reading, hiking, or kayaking. I also try to make it back to Minnesota and visit my family as much as I can. An interesting fact about me is that over half of my closet is thrifted!

I’m happy to be part of the SPO and WPI teams and am excited to serve clients with all of their strength training needs!

If you’re ready to get started with your strength training goals, schedule an appointment today!
