Describe some of your job duties: At the clinic, I see patients independently or in collaboration with Dr. Riordan, taking histories, performing exams, ordering and reviewing tests, performing procedures, and developing treatment plans with the patients. I am also involved with the surgeries. I help patients determine when surgery is necessary, do pre-operative instruction, physicals, and preparation, assist during the surgery, and participate in post-operative care in the hospital, Ambulatory Surgical Center, and clinic.

Favorite thing about working at SPO: I love working with the patients and developing relationships with them over the years. It is rewarding to help them achieve their goals. I also enjoy working with our staff. We have a really great group at Klasinski Clinic and the Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Hobbies: I enjoy attending my children's school and sports activities, volunteering in their schools and at church, home decorating, gardening, walking, and spending time with family and friends.

Family: My husband, Brad, and I have 3 beautiful daughters, Megan, Maddy, and Isabelle. Brad is a tenured professor of Physics. We also recently added an adorable teddy bear puppy, Regent, to our household.

My goal is for them to return to work, sports, and every day hobbies safely and in a timely manner.

Favorite thing about working at SPO: My colleagues. The close family bond that we all share and open communication with one another makes it an enjoyable place to be every day. I feel I can go to anyone with questions when I need some help or advice.

What is your greatest accomplishment at work? My greatest accomplishment is helping patients recover from an injury or surgery and having them get back to the things they enjoy.

What is your greatest accomplishment at work? My greatest accomplishment is and will always be serving patients in the community. To hear that a patient’s overall quality of life has improved because of the time I spent with them is exactly what drove me to become a physical therapist in the first place. I am truly blessed to have this opportunity to work with such great people and in this particular career.

In addition, I supervise the patient care staff team here, managing clinic work flows, and ensuring world class treatment for our patients.

I contact insurance companies to receive pre-authorization for procedures like MRI, CT scans, injections and sometimes surgeries. I order the supplies and braces for the clinic as well.

Favorite thing about working at SPO: I have two reasons I enjoy working at Klasinski Clinic. The 1st?is the patients.? I enjoy listening, joking and talking with the patients.? There are a lot of things you can learn from patients in a couple of minutes while rooming them. The 2nd?is my co-workers.? My co-workers are people that are compassionate about what they do.? They understand when you are having a bad day and help out every way they can. ?They are GREAT team players.?

What is your favorite thing about working at SPO? I love working with the staff and patients. I did my clinical rotation here before I was hired and I felt welcomed from the very beginning by both staff and patients. I know if I ever have any questions my co-workers are willing to assist or point me in the right direction.

What is your greatest accomplishment at work? All that I have learned since starting my employment here.

I was born in Clinton, IA but moved around a lot while growing up. I graduated high school in Colorado and that's where my parents still reside so I tend to claim Colorado as home.

Education: Non-traditional education would be my six years in the Marine Corps, I feel I learned more during that time in my life than any other. What is your greatest accomplishment at work? My greatest accomplishment is successfully transitioning from working at the hospital to Stevens Point Orthopedics. During this transition, I was able to establish an organized prior authorization workflow along with a detailed record keeping system.

Hobbies: I am not super crafty, but enjoy a good DIY project. I sprout seeds, brew kombucha and create essential oil blends. I love being outside, especially when the weather is pleasant. I feel one of the greatest attributes we have at Stevens Point Orthopedics is our hometown service; we are not a big global medical box office. I am proud that the clinic is quaint and personal. I am also humbled to be able to assist our billing office in the recovery of delinquent accounts and help set up payment plans. I love listening to patients’ situations and establishing a plan.
