Hometown: Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Education: Graduated at UW Marshfield/Wood County with Associates Degree in Language Arts and Science and graduated from Mid-State Technical College Marshfield as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Position: I work at Klasinski Clinic as a Certified Medical Assistant and requisition supplies and braces for the clinic.
Describe some of your job duties: I generally room patients, schedule appointments, surgeries and procedures for Dr. Guse, Dr. Riordan, Tracie Hinaus and Jim Lepak. I call or return calls to patients or patient’s family members, call other clinics to request medical information and pharmacies. I draw blood for lab work. I help with patient education to assist the patient for their procedure and with their healing process. I contact insurance companies to receive pre-authorization for procedures like MRI, CT scans, injections and sometimes surgeries. I order the supplies and braces for the clinic as well.
Favorite thing about working at SPO: I have two reasons I enjoy working at Klasinski Clinic. The 1st is the patients. I enjoy listening, joking and talking with the patients. There are a lot of things you can learn from patients in a couple of minutes while rooming them. The 2nd is my co-workers. My co-workers are people that are compassionate about what they do. They understand when you are having a bad day and help out every way they can. They are GREAT team players.
Hobbies: If I’m not in a gym, a pool, football, baseball or softball field watching Ryan or Rachel playing the sports they love to play. I enjoy baking, spending time with my family, going to our cabin, reading, camping, hunting, scrapbooking, sewing or being outdoors.
Family/Pets: My family consists of my husband, Jim, my 2 children, Ryan and Rachel, my stepson, Bob, my daughter-in-law, Katie and 2 grandchildren, Eli and Esme.
If you could be any office supply item, what would you be? And why?: If I could be any office supply items I would be a filing cabinet. I like to have everything in one place and organized.
